This program is a celebration of short films, and has a bit of everything. This year, the short film competition includes 14 films from Israel and overseas - 14 rich and precise worlds drawn on a small canvas.
Within the time limitations of the genre, the cinematic world shines out front and center, experienced as richer than the sum of its parts, and offering sharp, subversive and critical messages, sometimes playful and cheeky, in films that are full of compassion. Many of them are a demonstration of the capability of accuracy in writing for short films, and the virtuoso use of the genre of animation as a tool to expand the boundaries of the story and the emotion.
Inside a computer game, confined in a locked house, or in endless desert spaces, the most outstanding achievement of the short works in the program is that we cannot remain indifferent to them. Despite their short package, the films enjoy a long lifespan by walking out of the theater with us, back to life.
