Dan Wolman | Judge's Chairperson
Veteran independent Jerusalemite filmmaker made many television dramas, and documentary films. His feature films were presented at IFFI in Goa, Shanghai, Cannes, Venice, Berlin, Toronto, Moscow and other film festivals and won many prizes.
Michal Gideon
Graduate of the Sapir College School of Audio and Visual Arts. At the Cinema South Festival Michal won an award for Best Soundtrack Design with her partner Andres Rapaport for the animated film "Wine and Salad". Over the years they were also awarded prizes for soundtrack design for the films "Through the Glass" and "Journey to Another Planet". After graduating, Michal worked at Sound Around Studios, then at DB Studios, Herzliya Studios, Tel Aviv Studio and the Israeli Public Broadcasting Corporation.
In 2015, together with Yossi Appelbaum and Idan Rabed, Michal won the Israeli Television Academy award for her work on the series "Fauda".
Since then she has worked on diverse local and foreign projects. Michal currently lives in the Golan Heights and works from her home studio.
Andres Rapaport
Graduate of the Sapir College School of Audio and Visual Arts. His graduation film won an award for Best Soundtrack Design (for the animated film "Wine and Salad") with his partner Michal Gideon. He also won an award for Best Music on "Sashka", two awards for soundtrack design for the films "Through the Glass" and "Journey to Another Planet".
After graduating, Andres joined the DB Studios team and worked on many local and foreign series and films. He now designs soundtracks and composes music in his home studio in the Golan Heights.
Vincent Melilli
Vincent Melilli created movie theaters in Paris, he was the director of French institutes in Marrakech and London and founded and was the General Director for 16 years of l’Ecole Supérieure des Arts Visuels de Marrakech. He is now the manager of ESAV Production, a production company link to the school.
Ilanit Swisa
Playwright and film and theater director. Writes poetry, moderates writing and Judaism workshops. Creates original productions in diverse theater and film groups nationwide (Sderot, Rahat, Yavne and more). Conceives, initiates and produces cultural events.
Partnered in the production of the 2017 Cinema South Festival and a former lecturer at Sapir College. Served as member and mentor on the artistic committee of the Acre Festival 2018-2020. Hosted a radio show on the Voice of Israel's Reshet B and Galei Tzahal.
Founder and artistic director of the professional fringe "Breakwater" ensemble in Ashdod 2022.
Her debut film "Yamna's Blessing" took part in the Israeli competition at the 2021 Docaviv Film Festival.
Roman Shumunov
Roman Shumunov is an award-winning Israeli director, screen writer and editor. Has been titled more than once- as one of the most promising young directors in Israel. As a director, writer, and co producer, television, and cinema projects, Roman has been keeping busy across different genres. His past and present projects include: Documentary feature film “Babylon Dreamers” opened the DocAviv International F.F. His film “Here and Now” was an Ophir Award nominee (Israeli Oscar). Greatly valued film “Back to Chernobyl”, that was successful distributed to dozens of countries and festivals around the world. The film “Berenshtein- The last Partisan” and the TV Series «Memory Forest and «Generation 1.5» for channel Kan 11.
