Cinema South Festival invites filmmakers to submit their short film in diverse genres:
fiction, documentary, hybrid, experimental, animation and others, to the Festival that will take place between 7-14 November 2024. 

Cinema South Festival is one of Israel’s five biggest and long-standing film festivals. For the past 23 years, CSF has hosted hundreds of filmmakers from Israel and overseas.
CSF is a major cultural event in the south of Israel, functioning simultaneously as a very local event, showcasing a wide range of point-of-views of the local southern story, and also a global platform, dealing with topics of the social margins, what we refer to as a “Global South”.

The festival is in constant search for films bearing a clear, unique, visual signature, a rich and original cinematic story, a bold and challenging cinematic language.

Who can submit?

• Filmmakers of independent films: fiction, documentary, hybrid, experimental, animation and others produced between 2023-2024.
• Duration of film up to 25 mins.
• Films that were produced in a school setting (student films) must not be submitted.
• The screening of the film in Cinema South Festival must be a premiere screening in Israel. Therefore a film that was screened of broadcasted in Israel are NOT eligible for submission.

The application must be submitted via electronic registration form in English and signed by the applicant on the Festival website (via the electronic form) with a link to view the film (if the film is not complete, a rough-cut version will be submitted).

**The Festival board is authorized, at its discretion and at any time, to disqualify the application of any film whereby the details on the registration form are incomplete and/or incorrect and/or the applicant did not comply with an undertaking above and/or according to the program regulations.
