The Negev Film Fund and Cinema South Festival "Fata Morgana" project of short animated films will celebrate the harvest of its first year and will select the projects of its second year at the pitching event. As of 2022, the Gesher Multicultural Film Fund and the Animation Guild partnered for this project in view of highlighting animation in the artistic enterprise in the south and bringing stories, characters, heroes and landscapes from the southern region. The selected projects are accompanied by filmmakers and animators Tal Kantor and Ricardo Werdesheim. This year, eight new, thrilling projects will be presented at the Festival's pitching event, four of which will receive production grants in the amount of NIS 70,000, as well as professional mentoring throughout the making.
