Sapir's School of Audio & Visual Arts not only teaches and trains filmmakers of the future; it initiates and promotes filmmaking in the south, now! Through local Negev based labs and initiatives, we connect our first rate faculty together with filmmakers from the south, throughout Israel and internationally to our graduates who plan to create film in the south. These include:
Alumni Lab
A yearlong incubator for graduates together with our first-rate faculty who work on their next project both plot based features and documentaries.
Studio Darom (South)
"Studio Darom" is a five-day international Workshop that serves as a platform for young creators' cinematic projects in Israel and globally, as well as an entry to the co-production market. Designed for new producers and directors who are interested in promoting their first or second feature-length project to Europe. Israeli and European cinema professionals provide workshops. The Workshop culminates in a pitching event in which participants present their projects to film industry experts. The sixth Studio South Workshop operates via Sapir's School of Audio and Visual Arts and its Cinema South Film Festival, in collaboration with the Produire au Sud of the Three Continents Festival in Nantes, France, the French Institute in Israel and the Israeli Film Project -The Rabinowitz Foundation for the Arts.

Lab for Developing Television Content & Formats
The School of Audio & Visual Arts specializes in the development and production of quality and innovative content and is one the best school in Israel in its field. The School operates this initiative in Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship. This unique lab collaborates with television professionals and broadcasting companies. Students focus on developing submissions and ideas for TV formats and series suitable for a variety of platforms.
