100% Heaven
Thursday | 14/11/2024 | 10:00-11:30 | Cinematheque - Hall 1
A special launch event for the 100% Heaven project - with the participation of Shaar Hanegev High School students and their families.
"100% Heaven" is a project established in memory of the head of Shaar Hanegev Regional Council, Ofir Libstein, who was murdered on October 7, 2023 while defending his home in Kibbutz Kfar Aza. The purpose of the project is to document the human and geographic landscapes of the region in original documentary films. Each year a different theme will be chosen to lead the topics of the films and some five films will be chosen for production.
Proposals accepted for the project will receive a production budget and close professional accompaniment by a student from the Sapir School of Audio and Visual Arts and the project's management team. The films completed as part of the project will be recognized by Shaar Hanegev High School as a final project. The films produced in the framework of the project will be screened in a special pre-premiere screening at the Cinema South International Film Festival in June 2025.
At the event, there will be pitching by the 12th grade students, who will present their final feature films to a committee and the audience.
