Life after October 7th, 2023, from the perspective of six filmmakers, graduates of film and television studies in the Department of Audio and Visual Arts at Sapir College and residents of the Gaza border, who woke up on the morning of October 7th to a day that would change the course of their lives forever.
In the original documentary project produced by the Cinema South Film Festival, with the support of the New Fund for Cinema and Television and the Kan Broadcasting Corporation, the young filmmakers take us on a quest to find the lost home; in the reserves, packing the house in the kibbutz, in the hotels of the evacuees, in conversations with friends overseas, or near the yellow gate, which was once a symbol of security and protection and is no more.
And if we can return home, to what home will we return?
The films in the collection

A window in a kibbutz on the Gaza border and telephone conversation between a daughter and a worried mother echo the trauma of October 7th.
No Heroes | Zvi David

Israel My beloved | Annabel Tregovnik
Accompanied by a feeling of betrayal by her neighbors and friends from the past in Germany, Annabel examines the meaning of being a German-Israeli in the shadow of war, and a German-Jew in relation to her homeland, which she can no longer call home.
