My first encounter with most of the films I've edited was in the trailer for obtaining financing for them. In the workshop we will talk about how I created them, and in particular about what I learned from them about the films themselves. We will also deal with practical issues such as: whether to tell the entire story of the film, what the trailer tells the viewer, the trailer as a compass for the film, whether it is worth using a narrator, with or without music, the structure of a trailer, subtitles and more.
