The Selection before you represents new, fresh and innovative talent from Israel and overseas, in all Genres, that is the first or second Feature-Length work of the director.
It is the first time in the history of Cinema South Festival, that we dedicate a competitive section to debut films. We aim to continue being a platform for new cinema, bright young talents from around the globe, for films that reflect a unique social stance, and tell a human story in unconventional and honest means of expression.
The films that were selected to participate in this years’ competition, embody the power of a debut cinematic work to transport us to fascinating new worlds in the simplest yet most effective way.
A special Jury will award the best films with prizes in the sum of 13,500 Euros.
