The Cinema South Festival Short Film Competition is in its third year and presents the finest short films in all genres. This year, for the first time, with a view to exposing the Festival audiences and local filmmakers to short films from around the world – the competition is open to international films as well as films from Israel.
We will screen 12 new short films from Israel and around the world – a broad spectrum of human stories that create a rich and diverse universal image.
An EUR 4,500 prize will be awarded to the winning film, as well as a grant of NIS 10,000 for the development of a future film by an Israeli filmmaker, courtesy of the Makor Foundation.
