Through her diverse films, Izza Génini embroiders a colorful tapestry of Morocco comprised of patches and textures. With her, through her sensitive words and frames, we get a close glimpse of Morocco; we pause on minute and delicate details that together tell a broad story – all through Izza's perspective – which is ethnographic yet personal, modest and warm. Izza's sensitivity, passion and inquisitiveness are a common thread in the various films through which she explores the contrasts within herself, constantly seeking a connection and convergence between man and nature, between the corporeal and the spiritual, between the past and present and between people and religions.
