It is my hope that the musical program I have curated for the upcoming Cinema South Festival will bring us closer and unite us, because that is what music can do. In this spirit, unexpected combinations of musicians and artists have been woven together for you, to heal the aching heart.
On the stage of the new concert hall (formerly the Chen Cinema), the festival will be opened back to back by Hillel and Lava Dome, two amazing artists and high souls.
What is the connection between them, one ultra-Orthodox man singing songs of praise and prayer, and the other a sensitive gangsta in jeans? You and the music will make the connections.
On Monday Echo, the darling of the south, backed by the great Kid Koko, will come to set the scene on fire in the salon of the “Ze” All. Night. Long.
And who goes to sleep when there’s Cinema South Festival?
On Tuesday, the former glory is being restored and the legendary line of "Dirty Pop" is being revived at the new Resek Pub.
On Wednesday, Tomy will keep us awake with a late night party in the salon.
Finally, on Thursday, Omri Smadar will delight the human heart and close our beloved festival, where being part of this production at this time feels impossible but energizing at the same time.
And if that is not enough, throughout the week the best of our graduates will entertain the crowd in the Cinematheque plaza with sets and playlists prepared especially for the festival.
I really hope you connect to the line up and each other.
May there be good news,
Noa Elisha
