A Vision for Advanced Technology

At the donor plaque unveiling, Prof. Nir Kedar highlighted the broader vision for Sapir College:
“The Advanced Computer Lab kickstarts Sapir’s plans to launch the Faculty of Advanced Technology in October 2025. The new powerful computers provide our students with the best tools for success in a highly competitive field.”
Coral Aviram from PML, said:
We are proud and excited to be here today at the opening of the new computer lab and radio room at the College. This contribution is an expression of PML's deep desire to support the College and its students, especially during this difficult time.
We believe that investing in the learning environment and the College’s infrastructure is an investment in all of our futures. The new lab and radio room will provide students with advanced tools of learning, developing creativity and will contribute to boosting morale and community resilience.
PML sees Sapir Academic College as a partner on this journey, and we hope that the bond that has been formed will continue to strengthen. We will continue to stand by you, embrace and support you, believing in the power of education to change reality and build a better future.
Dr. Gadi Solotorsky, the newly appointed Chair of the Computer Science Department, echoed this sentiment:
“There’s nothing like actually doing the work. Subjects that were once taught theoretically can now be approached practically, giving students the competitive edge needed in today’s job market.”

The Communication Department’s refurbished Radio Studio is equally transformative. With enhanced soundproofing and upgraded equipment, students now have a space that mirrors professional media environments.

Dr. Yuval Gozansky, Chair of the Communication Department, remarked: “Our students learn by doing. They research, write, record, and produce their own material. Many of our graduates are now shaping Israel’s media landscape. This gift from Philip Morris Ltd. has provided them with improved conditions to thrive.”
The studio has also been a space for resilience and connection.

Faculty member Ido Ariel shared a poignant reflection: “I returned to the studio last October 2023, when the campus was a closed military zone. Students created podcasts documenting the evacuation and their return, sharing their own and their communities’ stories.”

A Bright Future

Philip Morris Ltd.’s support of these initiatives underscores the importance of investing in education and innovation. By enhancing access to advanced tools and facilities, this partnership empowers Sapir College students to realize their potential and shape the future.
Sapir College extends its deepest gratitude to Philip Morris Ltd. for their commitment to education, innovation, and community. This collaboration not only enriches the academic journey of today’s students but also builds a foundation for the leaders of tomorrow.
