Atuda Program in Cyber Defense
‘Atuda’ is an IDF program that enables high school graduates to defer the draft and attend a training program prior to their military service. Program alumni serve based on their professional knowledge gained during their studies.
The IDF’s elite C4i Unit is Israel’s front line of defense against hostile cyber-attacks on critical national infrastructures, from civilian water supplies to military command and control systems. At the request of the IDF, Sapir’s Technological College has opened a two-year program to train highly motivated high-school graduates from the Gaza Envelope and region. Participants will be equipped with up-to-date cyber skills, keeping Israel one step ahead of its adversaries. This program also provides opportunities for young people from underserved communities to build a future in Israel’s hi-tech economy.
