Upon returning from the battlefield, Ron discovers during a friend's funeral that he feels nothing, other than the feeling that he no longer belongs, and is unable to return home.
Along the way, he meets relatives, acquaintances and strangers, who shed light on his suppressed state that renders him to wander between hope and despair, longing for redemption.
