Sapir Academic College Launches 2024-25 Academic Year with Resilience and Renewal
On November 3, 2024, Sapir Academic College welcomed students back to campus for the 2024-25 academic year, marking the first full return to campus since the start of the war. For the first time since October 7th, our campus is once again alive with student activity. Sapir's main launch event took place on November 5, 2024, in the campus’s central square, with distinguished guests including Minister of Education and Chair of the Council for Higher Education Yoav Kish, Sderot Mayor Alon Davidi, and Shaar HaNegev Regional Council Head Yossi Keren. -

Sapir's Law School is proud to announce that the Honorable President (retired) of the Supreme Court Justice Esther Hayut will teach a unique workshop on "Law and the Holocaust" in the next academic year (2025) at Sapir Law School. Honorable President Hayut began her judicial career in 1990 as a judge of the Magistrate's Court in Tel Aviv. -

From Trauma to Resilience
Tens of thousands of Israeli soldiers have seen combat in the Gaza Strip since last October, but not all of them leave the war behind when they come back home. Many suffer combat and operational stress, reactions that could lead to PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder) and even suicide. Now, cutting edge research by Dr. Leah Shelef, Dean of the School of Social Work at Sapir College, is seeking the most effective way to treat – and prevent – these dangerous outcomes.
