This past Monday, April 1, 2024, Sapir College hosted the Chair of the Joint Distribution Committee (JDC), Amy Bressman, together with the JDC-Tevet team, including: Rani Dudai, CEO JDC—Tevet; Adi Blunter, Director Life Long Learning; Ilan Levene Director of Strategic Partnerships. Sapir’s President, Professor Nir Kedar briefed the team on the impact of October 7th on students and staff, and how the College with philanthropic partnership responded.

Her partner, Omri Miran, was kidnapped on October 7th, and is being held in Gaza Lishay Lavi, Director of the Mechina Pre-Academic Programs at Sapir briefed the College’s faculty on her ongoing journey to free her partner and all the other abductees. Lishay’s beloved partner and father of her two daughters, Omri Miran, was kidnapped and has been held in in Gaza for over 5 months. Courageously and openly, Lishay shared with the College’s faculty, her family’s moments of horror on the morning of October 7th, at her home in Kibbutz Nahal Oz.

Congratulations to the Law School’s 2021-2022 Graduates to the graduates of the Law School! Sapir Law School Alumni Continue to Lead Israel’s Bar Association’s Exams. This year, more than ever, we are very proud, due to the many challenges our alumni faced when taking their Bar Exams during the Iron Swords War. There’s no turning back. Artificial intelligence has spread from cyberspace to the public space and now affects our court system. Can tomorrow’s legal minds make order out of this tempest of change? That’s what eight students from Sapir Academic College Law School tried to discover last week at the University of Padova in Italy. The group was selected to take part in a special winter school program on the interface between law and artificial intelligence.

Celebrating Cinema South Tel Aviv may boast Israel’s leading cultural institutions, but Sapir just stole the show. Cinema South, the annual, cutting-edge film festival organized by Sapir’s School of Audio and Visual Arts, opened for the 22nd time on Sunday – this time at the Tel Aviv Cinematheque due to restrictions imposed by the Gaza war.
