Sapir's English for Academic Purposes (EAP) Department provides five levels of English language courses to empower students. Small classes and personal attention offers the best framework to improve English language capacity. Our department's holistic approach equips students to master reading comprehension for academic purposes as well as develop a set of language skills necessary for everyday functioning (i.e., listening, speaking, and writing). Students gain a high level of abilities for their academic undergraduate and graduate studies, as well as a critical tool in in their career development.

Our 'open- door' policy focuses on students' needs, challenges and history of English learning. The department works with the College's Accessibility Center to offer special programs for students with learning disabilities, students with special needs and students that English is their third language.
